Here in honor of the birthday of Sappho
of Lesbos, the famous Greek lyric poet, September 7th 621 bc. Sappho was known for her lyric poetry, she wrote love poems addressed to both women and men, Sappho has long been considered bisexual. The word "lesbian" derives from the name of the island of her birth, Lesbos; her name is also the origin of its less common synonym sapphic, despite Sappho herself having been bisexual.

   The Difference Between Erotica And Porn

There is not a great deal of difference when you look at the purpose behind both. Which is, to excite and stimulate us. Erotica is a little grayer morally/legally,  a large amount of erotica is permitted to be widely distributed whereas pornographic material, is often frowned upon if not illegal.

     Erotica or Pornography?

Erotica manuscripts are often recorded with some literary merit. Good erotica will bring life and feeling to its characters and sets an erotic scene. Pornography is simply a basic gratification method. Pornography will usually contain much cruder depictions than Erotica, and crude language. The story line, if any, is hardly there.

Where do you think these lovely ladies are off to? Fine hats, lovely purses, but no clothes. A classy hookers outing maybe. I love the shapes of the people from those days, none of this skinny anorexic model look in those days, just real people who didn't let vanity ruin there lives. I have a few other pics from this set, 1930s-40s I think, any idea what the story is behind them? I ripped them from a vintage porn paysite, let me know if you want to see the others in my collection.

Well, we will see what happens, heres the first pic. I hope you are right about using my interest in vintage porn to bring to the attention of the general public some of the more bizarre and/or interesting images and vids from the past. So, I am sharing with you here. I hope you will reciprocate.

This bizarre image is of a photograph from about 1865, no idea if it is genuine.
